About The Artist

My photo
Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States
Hello! I am a fine arts painter, with a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My primary painting medium is oil and alkyd, and mostly I work in a representational style. My greatest challenge as a painter is to capture the effect of light; and my greatest joy as a painter is to accomplish that. Many thanks to those readers who have been following this blog since Day 1 (May 19, 2008). To those who are visiting for the first time today...Welcome, and thanks for dropping by!

You're Invited...

I am pleased to invite you to the Artists Opening Reception of "The Art of the Flower", tomorrow evening (Saturday, June 6) from 5 to 7:30pm, at the New Mexico Art League, located at 3409 Juan Tabo NE in Albuquerque.

Three of my small flower paintings were accepted into this exhibit—all spiffed up in pretty custom gold frames—on display now through July 11.

This is one of the Art League's most popular shows, so I hope you will be at the opening reception. See you there!

For those of you who live out of town, here's a little "sneak preview" of my work:
