About The Artist

My photo
Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States
Hello! I am a fine arts painter, with a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My primary painting medium is oil and alkyd, and mostly I work in a representational style. My greatest challenge as a painter is to capture the effect of light; and my greatest joy as a painter is to accomplish that. Many thanks to those readers who have been following this blog since Day 1 (May 19, 2008). To those who are visiting for the first time today...Welcome, and thanks for dropping by!

A Wonderful Opening....Thank you!

Opening Night, May 3, 2019 at Weyrich Gallery. Photo credit: Valerie Tibbetts
Thank you to all the friends and visitors who came to last night's opening reception of my exhibit, "In a Japanese Garden, Revisited" at the Weyrich Gallery in Albuquerque. I so very much appreciate all the support and kind words about my paintings. The show continues through May 31, so if you weren't able to get by the Gallery last night, there's still plenty of time to see the exhibit.

And to those who live around the country who sent me texts, emails, and phone calls: As we say in New Mexico, "Muchas Gracias."
